WOW! Who could have asked for a nicer day. The weather was beautiful, the crowd was beautiful, the "general" crowd was small, and from the beginning to the end...I was seeing RED! RED shirts and many others celebrating and showing support for Gay Day at Cedar Point. The GLBT community and our friends were out in full force at Gay Day 2005. I met some of the nicest people ever at this year's Gay Day.
I was saddened that there were several groups of people that were unable to participate in the photos for different reasons, mostly because of the fear of being seen by friends and employers on the internet. At the same time, I was thrilled that these same people came out to celebrate their lives in a public place and show their support. Even through your photos are not here on the following pages...my hat is off to you and I hope someday that you too can enjoy the freedom that some of us have in parts of our lives that we can be a visible and positive voice in the public.
